Science and Technology is fast advancing. More and more industries are coming up and there is an ever-increasing demand for technically trained personnel to man these industries. Technical Institutions play a vital role in this respect. It is obvious that every nook and corner of the country must have facilities to offer Technical Education. Realising this importance of Technical Education in the growth of a country, Swamy Abedhanandha Trust was formed in 1984 at Thellar (a small village in Thiruvannamalai district) with the motto of “Service in the cause of Technical Education”. The members of the Trust, benevolent at heart and gallant at task, immediately set working and their hard work bore fruit. Swamy Abedhanandha Polytechnic was founded in the same year 1984 at Thellar. Swamy Abedhanandha was a saint-philosopher, who lived in Thirugnanasambandar Mutt of Thellar village. He was loved and respected by one and all, in and around Thellar. Leading a very simple and pious life, he showed the righteous path on the earth. People would flock to him for his wit and wisdom, listen to his scholarly words and find solace.

Message from the Principal
Education is the act or process of imparting or acquiring particular knowledge or skills, as for a profession. Education makes a man perfect in all respects.
The prime motto of our College is to educate students and make them excel in the field of Technology. We have well experienced team of staff who dedicate themselves in the cause of education and they strive very hard to educate students. With the help of hard work of our staff, many students get state ranks in the Board Examinations.
